SMISO OPPLAND

SMISO Oppland is a resource centre for persons over 16 years of age, of any gender, who have been exposed to incest or have been sexually assaulted. We are not a replacement for the public relief institutions, but a supplementary service.

• We offer support for those persons exposed to incest or sexual abuse
• We work with people on ways to improve how to go forward with their lives on their own terms
• We combat sexual abuse against children

Both individuals and professionals who need information or guidance can apply to the centre. This offer is free of charge!

What is incest?

We define incest as “sexual abuse perpetrated by someone whom the child knows and trusts”. The perpetrator could be the father, mother, brother, sister, another family member, a neighbour, teacher or someone else. Sexual abuse can be anything from fondling the genitals to masturbation, oral sex and sexual intercourse.

You can contact us anonymously. Everyone at SMISO Oppland is bound by the duty of confidentiality.
We are politically and religiously neutral.
